The new Rescue 9 is finally here!
After it's refurbishment at KME and a stay at the McKinley fire house Rescue 9 is now fully equipped and in service to serve the citizens of Rockledge Borough and its surrounding communities. The Rescue is equipped with a full complement of rescue tools including the "jaws of life", hazardous materials equipment, and various other pieces of equipment that allow us to provide superior emergency services.
We would like to thank KME for their outstanding work in preparing the truck, as well as the McKinley Fire Company for the use of their apparatus bay. Also to all the members of the Rockledge Fire Company for their dedication throughout the process of placing the truck in service.

Members of the RFC, welcomed home their new (slightly used) Heavy Rescue. The new R-9, a 2000 KME Heavy Rescue with less than 10,000 miles, was purchased from The West Islip Fire District on Long Island. Upon completion of a new paint job, compartment modifications and installation of a new air cascade system, this new Rescue will enhance the company’s current equipment layout and allow for expansion when needed. More news & progress photos to follow…
